At HomeBuyer Brokerage, every agent works for you.
No listings, no dual agency, a firm of exclusive buyer agents with a fiduciary duty to you alone.
What makes an exclusive buyer agent different?
Most brokerages represent sellers and buyers at the same time. We made a different choice, and it changes everything about whose interests come first.
- Represents buyers only, with a fiduciary duty to you alone
- Never takes listings, so no pressure toward "in-house" homes
- No dual agency, ever. By charter, not by disclosure form
- Negotiates price, terms & repairs purely in your interest
- Loyalty is split when the firm also works for sellers
- In-house listings can be steered toward you
- Dual agency reduces your representation to neutrality
- The higher the price, the higher the commission, for both sides
“We commend exclusive buyer brokers who really are trying to offer good value to consumers without the kind of conflicts of interest that exists throughout the rest of the industry. So, more power to exclusive buyer brokers.”

Questions buyers ask us
What is an exclusive buyer agent?
An exclusive buyer agent works for a brokerage that represents home buyers only and never takes listings. HomeBuyer Brokerage never represents sellers, so every agent here owes undivided loyalty and a fiduciary duty to the buyer alone.
Does HomeBuyer Brokerage ever represent sellers or practice dual agency?
Never. We take no listings and represent no sellers, so dual agency, where one brokerage sits on both sides of a sale, cannot happen in any transaction with us. It is a structural guarantee, not a disclosure form.
Where does HomeBuyer Brokerage work?
Across Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Our exclusive buyer agents are licensed in all three jurisdictions, and the site carries neighborhood guides with live MLS listings for 55 places DMV buyers actually shop.
How much does it cost to work with an exclusive buyer agent?
Compensation is agreed in writing up front and, in most transactions, is paid from the transaction, often offered by the seller or listing brokerage, and always negotiable. Buyers typically pay no more than they would with any other agent; the difference is that the payment never buys divided loyalty.
Can you show me any home for sale?
Yes. We can show and represent you on any property: Bright MLS listings from any brokerage, new construction, and for-sale-by-owner homes, anywhere in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.
How do I get started?
